Beschreibung

The collaboration project between the Ecole Normale Supérieure de l'Unviersité de Yaoundé 1, Cameroon, and the University of Teacher Educaiton of Lucerne aims at the mutual development of ESD understanding, methodology and teaching practice through integrating both common and different experiences and preconceptions.
During 2016 the project group of Swiss and Cameroonian Experts has developed the project in a mutual process of discussions of ideas, definitions, methods and experiences in terms of ESD. It defined to focalize on the topic of tropical deforestation as an example of ESD in both contexts. While the topic is an urgent and very material matter in Cameroon, the challenge will be to transform the issue in the Swiss school context. Global Learning will therefore be an important aspect in this regard as well as the question of global impact mechanisms.
An international group of students of the two universities will work together in Cameroon and Switzerland on the transformation of the issue into the school setting.
The project will be scientifically evaluated according to its impact on three aspects: student perceptions and their socio-spatial learning processes, collaboration process and product testing (educational settings developped by the students).
